For Fall Winter 2020, Evi Grintela travels through time in different decades of the 21st century, starting from the land of the Rising Sun. “Modern Aesthetics” features a wide range of elements from retrospective 40’s, early 70’s, deconstructed voluminous 80’s and androgynous 90’s while focusing on technical details that combine contemporary volumes and formulas with retro & romantic moods: traditional Japanese warrior costumes, mao collars, deep horizontal & vertical pleats, fullness of the sleeves and hem in loose-fitting silhouettes. Full prints of Japanese coloring and motifs like bamboo fences with chrysanthemums, mythical creatures, pine trees and waterfalls in the finest Italian silk twill mixed with lightweight Swiss cotton poplins.
